E.t. is a masterpiece of extroardinary power - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This is the best film ever made. Steven Spielberg knows how to make an audience laugh, cry, and applaud all at the same time. E.T. is an excellent, moving, and wonderfully climactic film that stayed with me for my entire life. I've never been so struck by motion picture entertainment before and I respect the beauty and masterful storytelling that Spielberg brings to life in a visualistic and simplistic way. The performances are also great. Especially by Henry Thomas, who befriends E.T. in a wonderful, innocent performance. Drew Barrymore is also incredible as Elliot's (Thomas) little sister who is frightened at first by E.T., but then grows to love him. The final moments of the film are so poweful and moving, that it's hard not to shed one little tear. All of this powerful storytelling is helped out by John William's classic musical score that brings the film to life. Overall, E.T. is a great movie. Powerful storytelling and lots of kind spirited humor make this film a must see.
