E.t. is a masterpiece of extroardinary power - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This is the best film ever made. Steven Spielberg knows how to make an audience laugh, cry, and applaud all at the same time. E.T. is an excellent, moving, and wonderfully climactic film that stayed with me for my entire life. I've never been so struck by motion picture entertainment before and I respect the beauty and masterful storytelling that Spielberg brings to life in a visualistic and simplistic way. The performances are also great. Especially by Henry Thomas, who befriends E.T. in a wonderful, innocent performance. Drew Barrymore is also incredible as Elliot's (Thomas) little sister who is frightened at first by E.T., but then grows to love him. The final moments of the film are so poweful and moving, that it's hard not to shed one little tear. All of this powerful storytelling is helped out by John William's classic musical score that brings the film to life. Overall, E.T. is a great movie. Powerful storytelling and lots of kind spirited humor make this film a must see.

Best movie of 1980's - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

One of the best films ever - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This film was one of the greatest films ive ever seen since i was much younger this film has been in my mind one of the best films ever and since the film was brought out again last year it has become even greater. An amazin film directed by stephen spielberg with a great story behind the film.

My favorite movie of all-time. - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

E.T. is one of those movies that will never die. Like The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music before it, this is a film that doesn't age. The more you see it, the happier you are that it exists. Steven Spielberg should be thanked for giving us such a rare, beautiful picture.

E.t...the extra testical!!! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Yeah..not bad.Steve really knows how to bring out the kid in everyone. The flying bike scene was good..um...its funny how when i ever i see E.T extending his neck it reminds me of a hard on...the game from the 80's on this movie was pretty crap too from what i recall..talk about basic dot ghraphics..thank god PC games have improved in leaps and bounds over the years...anyway thats all from me...OINK!!

All time worst - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

this has to be one of the dumbest movies ever made... watched it because of all the hype and i was BORED OUT OF MY MIND!... waste of money and time...

Watch it once and then decide... - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Watch it once if you havent... But this is not because the movie is great or classic or something like that... But because you will find how people like spielberg (even if he is at his worst) The alien was absolutely fantastic. But the whole movie just celebrates this one thing. You make a alien and then you just make people watch him for hours without moving a inch. There is no story in the movie and whatever happens... happens in the end. You become bored watching the alien move and do tricks. It might have been enchanting to people when this alien idea was still new (to see a alien who is so human). But it isnt now. Whatever I have said... I think you wont believe me... So go on and watch is once.

California life - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This movie took place in California, around the place where my aunt used to live. There are nice nighttime scenes, that the ET comes over, and the boy does exactly what ET does. The boy tried to have him talk human language. Near the end of the movie, the boy sends out the radio signal to outer space, planning to send ET back home. Then he road the bicycle, that took off into the air, across the full moon. In the morning, the house the boy lived in was bubbled up by the medical staff, when ET got sick. Then ET was put in deep freeze so that the scientists would study him. But that did not work, the UFO came and ET was brought home to outer space.

A puppet alien? - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

I'm sorry! But, it was just tooooooo unrealistic. What's up with the elastic spine, huh? I did, however, like Drew Barrymore's role. They did a good job making the future cocaine addict cry.

Et phone home - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

et cute is a cute movie for the family but not adults. it made money good for it. but i like the movie because of the story not because et was an alien.

Spielberg's heartwarming movie. - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Of all the movies Spielberg has made, I like this one the least. If I had to chose which is his best, I'd perhaps pick, "Raiders Of The Lost Ark", even though some might pick "Schindler's List" because it's his serious movie. But in any case, E.T.'s good, but in my opinion, good for kids only.

Head in the clouds - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Now, I'm only nine, but I saw E.T. when I was 6,7 or 8. "Phew!" How could I have understood it? But just some months ago, I again had seen the movie... and now 1 of my favourites!

A classic - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This movie was so good. The acting and story was just excellent! Henry Thomas did really good as Elliott. E.T. looked very realistic. Those of you who haven't seen it, what are you waiting for, GO SEE IT!!!!

Im surprised i gave it a c - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

this is one of the worst movies i have ever had the misfortune of watching. this movie is so overated i see nothing special about it

It doesn't make sense - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

I don't get this movie! I mean, aliens? Seriously. Who cares if an alien dies? You can't love an alien. It just doesn't make sense. I was happy to see ET in that ditch!

Extra ordinary - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

it's really fantastic vision from the creative genius Speilberg because he showed to us what's the determination and friendship even between an alien and a human! and what a great dramatic farewell in the end the threads of the story was tightly strong and there're no words could describe the great directing by Steven it?e of the best movies ever

I have always hated this movie - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

My friend and I saw it as high schoolers and we laughed at the scene where ET was lying in the ditch! Still brings a smile to my face. Who the hell wants to see a touch-feely Alien who eats candy? BORING

This movie sucks - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

i Don't care that a little rasin almost died...everyone is like this movie is so cool but it sucks so there whatcha gonna do now... PS. E.T. SUCKS!

Traumatized - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

I saw this movie when I was about 5 and it scared the crap out of me. I was petrified. I think that no child shoudl watch this movie. E.T. is NOT a pleasant movie. Am I the only one who found it very distrubing?

From a childs perspective - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Watching ET with all of it's low angles I would think that that's what Spielberg had in mind. The movie retains it's classic stature even after multiple viewings, and I'm talking 20 years worth. This is a movie all kids should be introduced to.

Come back e.t.!! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

To this day, this is one of the few movies that got me choked up. The emotional impact is so profound. Steven Spielberg, in my opinion, proved to me that he was the real deal after this motion picture. This story is considerably basic, but that is what's not important. It's the way everything unfolds and how superbly acted everything is, with a standing ovation going to Henry Thomas (what ever happened to him anyway?) that demonstrate the real power of this movie. One of the best films of all time!!

Et is a great movie - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

this is one of the best movies i've ever seen in my life so go and watch some where and u will see the magic it brings to ur heart Matt

If not spielberg's best close to it! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This is a great film. Not only a classic but plenty of stuff to think about after you see it. DON'T MISS IT!

Original story line and great visuals for its time - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

In my opinion, this movie is a sheer classic with an original story line and never seen before visual effects. But thats just my opinion. If you think this is just a kid movie your wrong this is fun for adults as well as kids, because it's so well made. Spielberg seems to make all the good movies.

E.t. is on the phone order some pizza will ya - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

i have seen this movie only a couple of times or so. it's a good movie. not among my favs. we all know what it's about. so im not going to elaborate. cause i don't feel like it. sorry. basicly an alien gets abandoned on earth and he befriends a boy. they learn from each other. the government is after the alien. sweet funny and tear jerking moments happen. you get to see drew barrymore has a kid. she is so cute.

D - for dumb humor - Wedding Crashers Reviews

I am simply let down everytime I get talked into going to an american made comedy. Who's rating these comedy movies... post pubescent boys and girls? I guess if you think bare breasted women, stupid cliches' and just plain dumb writing is funny... more power to you. I'll stick to the foreign comedies, until Hollywood can produce something more funny than this type of garbage.

E.t. the extra-terrestrail, the 20th and 1982 best - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Since 3 years ago, the re-release of "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrail - 20th Anniversery" and the 1982 version of "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrail" is the best film by the legend filmmaker and director Steven Spielberg, the story that touched the world, still this the #1 movies in all-times my mother had seen the 1982 version before, but I did see both the verisons of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrail, the 1982 and 2002 versions, but I like the 2002 version, with best visual effects by ILM, to made the digital character on the computer to E.T. as computer animation, and the soundtrack is outstanding,is remastered ny music composter John Williams, to recompost the the film score, and the visual effect supervisors for ILM, on the 1982 and 2002, Dennis Muren (1982) and Bill Georges (2002).

Wow! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

E.T. is such a good movie. I saw it a few years ago, but I just remember when I was sitting in front of the T.V. and saw this movie. Steve did a good job on this movie. What happened to WAR OF THE WORLDS? I really sugest you see this movie. It will make you laugh, cry, and it will make you think of good times when you were a kid.Go see it.

Probably one of steven's most famous - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Probably Steven's most famous movie. Woth dazzling special effects and great directing make this movie a heart warmer for all ages.

Thanks alot mr speilberg! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Mr Speilberg made this movie great, he's the genius behind all his movies and once again, Mr Speilberg thanks a lot.

A perfect movie with perfect music! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

John Williams may be John Williams without E.T. But E.T. could never be E.T. without John Williams. The superiority of this film evolves around the one thing that really brings out its quality; THE MUSIC! John Williams composed and directed the purest and most powerful musical score ever done in a motion picture. The score really holds the film together and it sets the mood and pace of each scene so perfectly. God bless the Oscars for honoring Mr. Williams with the award. As for E.T. himself, he is truly the most beautiful and loveable alien I've ever seen. I'd sure to receive a hug from him myself. As for Elliott, I'm not impressed with his character at all. At 10, he's a child who obviously doesn't care about anyone; even his own mother. In the scene at the table where he bluntly tells her his father has moved away with another woman and where she gets up and walks away in tears, he just shrugs his shoulders and ignores her. He doesn't give her a hug in comfort or even apologize. And a child who only wants to give and receive love from an extraterrestrial alien? If he were my child, I'd have him institutionalized. But aside from that, E.T. is a movie treasure. Steven Spielberg should of won the Oscar along with his friend John Williams, but at least he's won for others.

This movie flat out sucks. - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

There is nothing special about this movie, its really boring, the plot is pretty generic and its very much over acted. I would have loved it had, in the last 2 minutes somebody would have walked up to ET and shot him.

No doubt the worst spielberg film ever! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

it wasn't just the ending it was the whole thing it was just so .... how shall I put this awfuly retarded. the ending wasn't even sad at ALL I was just so happy that the film was over , this is the most over rated film ever. After seing Jaws (and loving it) I became very disapointed with spielberg,or should I say SPIELBLURRG!!!, I don't know why everyone even likes this stupid film, and some even like it better than JAWS, just never ever ever ever ever ever x 100 ever ever ever ever ever watch this.........ever.

E.t. - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

E.T. phone home! I saw this movie when I was only three years old, and man I used to cry, bcause E.T. almost died. The story is about when an alien from outer-space lands on earth for a cure in his home planet I belive, the rest of the aliens left him, so he was stuck on earth. Meanwhile he finds a human friend. His friend helps him get back to his home planet. E.T. is a powerful movie and a triumphant. Have to see this.

Boring worst, bad ending - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

E.T is the worst movie i have ever seen e.t go home this movie is boring. a minus 10 out of 10 I wish if all the critics would give this movie a panning

A good movie, but one i never really "got". - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

I have seen ET many times, when I was a kid, then when it was re-released a couple years ago. I thought it was a good movie, but not a great movie. It never really clicked for me, as it seems it has for many. The story was good, but it seemed to drag on a little too much for me. I thought the story was good, just not one of my favorites.

Cinamatic magic - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

E.T. is one of thoughs films that is so good, that you almost wonder how its possible to not like, its one of the family classics like Old Yeller that will never be forgotten, and its one of the few that actually deserve that.

E.t. ( extra terrible) - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

e.t. is the worst movie i have ever seen. it couldn't hold my attention for the first thirty minutes of this movie. the plot is unrealistic. i doubt that i kid would never harbor a disgusting, ugly, slimy alien in their home. they would be scared of it. and as far as a flying bysicle goes that is as realistic as seeing a pig fly. this movie is the worst movie in the world.

The most delightful movie of all time - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

E.T: The Extra-Terrestrial is the most delightful film of all time. It proves Steven Spielberg is the real thing and also proves that he's the greatest director ever. I mean, there's Jaws, the Indiana Jones films, Jurassic Park, Schiendler's List, The Terminal, this movie and others. He's unstoppable. He's responsible for creating the most warm-hearted film ever. E.T. starts with a space ship that lands in a forest somewhere in California. Out of it comes aliens with visible, wiggling red hearts. They've landed on Earth for some reason, but the audience never figures out why. One alien wanders too far into the forest. In fact, he goes so far that he witnesses men going through the woods, searching for the thing that's landed. All of a sudden, the men hear something scream. It's the alien, and he runs as fast as he can from the men, with them going after him. But by the time he's almost there, the spaceship lifts off. The alien is stranded on Earth. Thankfully, the men never find him...yet. On the other side of the story is young Elliot(Henry Thomas) living with his divorced mother Mary(Dee Wallace), his older brother Michael(Robert MacNaughton), and his younger sister Gertie(Drew Barrymore). He goes through the fields one night to search for something that he thinks is alive. Right then, he discovers the alien, who screeches and runs away. Elliot has another encounter with the alien one other night, but this time it's a pleasant one. That morning, Elliot pretends to be sick so that his mother can leave and he can stay at the house with the creature he's keeping in hiding. He starts by giving the alien an introduction of things on his desk, such as space toys, a toy car, a peanut bank, and other things. It's not long before Michael and Gertie discover the alien and they almost totally freak out. But Elliot tells them to promise not to reveal the alien, because it could cause a catastrophe. Gertie witnesses the alien say his first letter, "B", and then she watches him recite his first sentence, "Be good". The alien also memorizes Elliot's name, and Elliot decides to name him E.T.. But Elliot and E.T.'s frienship is so strong that they're telepathically connected, which not only means that Elliot will do whatever E.T. does, but also if E.T. dies, Elliot will die too. And keeping E.T. a secret from Elliot's mother gets tougher. E.T. has one of the most memorable scenes ever: the moon silhoette. When Elliot and E.T. are riding a bike and almost fall over the edge of a cliff, E.T. saves them and causes the bike to hover though the air past the gigantic moon. E.T. is also able to heal injuries with his finger. He also builds a satellite that will hopefully contact his fellow aliens so that they can come back to Earth and pick him up. I read that E.T. is based on the divoce of Steven Spielberg's parents. He would watch with his sisters as his father Arnold and mother Leah would fight. E.T. is about divorce and how children survive after it occurs. E.T. is today the third highest-grossing film of all time. I wonder why so many people wanted to see it? Maybe they loved Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Raiders of the Lost Ark so much that they wanted to see more from the director who was at the time just beggining. People don't seem to think that today though, because not everybody wants to see his new films and they're not afraid to critisize them. Why would anyone ever do that? Every one of Spielberg's films are perfect. So let me thank Spielberg one more time. He's responsible for the best shark movie ever, the best dinosaur movie ever, great war films, and also the most delightful film ever created. E.T. is a huge experience, and everyone has to see it and love it. If they don't, then that's just sad.

I love it! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

e.t. is the best movie ever! if you dont like this movie you must be insane! the little alien is so cute! this movie portrays love and friendship and finding your way home. 2 thumbs up. this is the perfect movie to share with your friends or family. i know i sure would!

Classic film with creativity - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

I repeatedly watched this film as a kid at my grandmothers house, and those memories still live on in my head till today. An alien lands on Earth and befriends a lonely boy named Elliot (Henry Thomas) after he is left behind by the rest of his family. While Elliot takes the alien into his home, it befriends his older brother and his sister (a toddler Drew Barrymore) as the three try to hide it from grown-ups, including the mother. Elliot and E.T. form a close friendship, and soon feels upset after E.T. finds his family again near the end and goes home. This film has its sad moments that will make you cry and watch all over again. I like movies like that sometimes.

Et shines - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

I really like this movie !!! I have it at home and I watched it once or twice but this is something you've gotta see at least once!

A children's classic - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

"E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" is not only a sci-fi classic but a masterpiece on its own. It won the hearts of both critics and audiences of all ages and dominated the box office (it remains the third highest grossing movie of all time). It also became yet another film that would increase belief that Steven Spielberg was the most talented director of our generation. The film has a basic but overall ingenious story. An alien botanist who is stranded on Earth forms a friendly bond with Elliott (Henry Thomas). Currently, Elliott's family is going through some rough times. His parents have just recently separated. His father isn't going to be around anymore. And so, in a way, E.T. becomes Elliott's surrogate father. E.T. has many abilities. He can heal, he is psychic, he can also make himself a very likable creature. Like Elliott and his sister (a very young Drew Barrymore), deep inside, I have a real soft spot for that odd looking thing. E.T., just like us humans, becomes homesick and Elliott realizes this. However, a few government agents have known E.T. was on Earth from the start and are on his trail. It is up to Elliott to safely get E.T., his friend, home. "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial" is truly magical. This was a film so great and unique that it was copied, imitated, and spoofed for decades to come. Indeed, the film inspired an attraction at Universal Studios which has affectionately been named: "E.T.: The Ride." There have been many movies made that share a similar theme that is people outside of society or even the human race slowly understanding our lifestyles and gradually forming quite a strong bond with us. However, "E.T." was one of the first to truly shine with such a theme. Over time, smaller gems such as "Zelig" and "Lilo & Stitch" have made the same impressions as "E.T.," just not as powerfully. It's okay if the special effects don't hold up in the future. "E.T." is still an extraordinary film, with or without the visuals. It has imagination, creativity, and most of all, a whole lot of heart. I usually refrain from comparing "E.T." to sci-fi epics such as "Star Wars," because the two films had two completely different goals. They are similar in a way that they were both box office greats and were one of the first films of their kind to receive so much attention from the Academy Awards (Both movies were nominated for 'Best Picture' as well as 'Best Director'). But that's basically it. They do not share a similar storyline or setting. It's amazing. Most of the highest grossing films of all time are science fiction related ("E.T.," "Star Wars," "Jurassic Park"). This brings us to ask, "Why do audiences want to watch these movies?" The answer is quite simple: Because they want to see what humans today cannot achieve in reality. They want to see unimaginable things that have been brought to life. And so, here it is, "E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial," one of the most inventive and breathtaking films for children and adults. Now, I assume most have had the opportunity to behold such an astonishing movie. For those who haven't, you should not go on without seeing such a beautiful and touching piece of filmmaking, and I strongly recommend you see it.

Steven spielberg rocks! - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

Steven Spielberg is the greatest director ever to live! He's directed the biggest grossing film of all time thrice- Jaws, ET, and Jurassic Park. If I'm right, this is the first movie to break the record of the all-time biggest grossing film with these same director. ET is a classic. I will never get tired of it in my life. Some of the best of everything is in here- music(John Williams does it yet again), effects, humor, acting, story, and directing. When they build the National Director's Hall of Fame it will have a wax model of Steven Spielberg next to a model of a shark, velociraptor, and E.T. in the bycicle in front of it. I'll bet you a million. FUN FACT: ET needed more special effects wizardry then Jaws.

Extremely touching - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This is one of the few movies that I've ever seen where I've cried. Excellent acting by a young Henry Thomas, and outstanding music by John Williams, who I might add received an Oscar for Best Score for this film.

It's perfect - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

The film has a good message to it and I'm Glad they didn't make E.T look all computered up. They truly used everyday people to star in this film as each of them has a certain charm. E.T himself was very warm-hearted and cool at the same time.

This is a great movie - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This is a great movie. The story, acting, direction, and visuals just top this movie to be on my top twenty list of favorite movies. This is a classic that will be in my heart for as long as I live!

E.t. the extra-ordinary - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This is not the best film that Steven Spielberg has directed, but it is the best one to showcase his unique brand of feel-good magic. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is about the title character accidentally being left behind on Earth when his family departs from their quick visit to the planet. E.T. finds and befriends a boy named Elliott (Henry Thomas), and his sister Gertie (a young Drew Barrymore doing a splendid job). Elliott and Gertie can't let anyone else find out about E.T., because if they do, the extra-terrestrial-hunting government will come knocking... E.T. is just a happy movie. I wonder what those people who don't enjoy it think about. Are they soulless monsters? Hardened, bitter cynics? I'm not going to criticize others' opinions, but those that don't enjoy E.T. are seriously missing out. Steven Spielberg has concocted a magical blend of heartwarming writing (from Melissa Matheson, who never gets any credit), his very own beautiful direction, and simply wonderful themes of childhood relationships and the strength of friendship. Another element that adds to the enjoyment of this landmark film is its great special effects. When watching E.T., one does not think of the pudgy (yet cute) little guy as a soulless, lifeless animatronic creation but rather a real being capable of emotion. The movie humanizes him so much (in a good way) that at the end, when something tragic happens, the viewer's stomachs do a 180 and go from laughing to crying. Much of the credit for this goes to Industrial Light & Magic, who have created a believable, lovable character in E.T. Director Spielberg is like a big kid with marionette strings, with us as his puppet, playing our emotions, and laughing at how much we're going to like his creation.

Et - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

this is one of my favorite movies from the 80's if not my favorite. i love et and he is the cutest alien ever. this movie makes me cry every time i watch it.

A classic - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

This movie is a classic. I love the part were E.T. gets wasted its so funny. I also like how E.T. always says "Elliott,Elliott", because my brothers name is Elliott and I just find it funny. The best part though is when E.T. dresses up like a woman. Its just so spontaneous that its funny. Oh and by the way E.T. looks like a polish sausage when he gets sick.

A masterpiece beyond simplistic - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

How could Finding Nemo be rated higher on IMDB than ET? The emotional impact ET has on a viewer is ten times greater than that Finding Nemo has on a viewer. My brother seems to hate ET. He claims that some of the scenes were "childish." When Harry Potter came out he refused to read it and assumed it was bad simply because it's a children's book. A lot of teenage boys nowadays seem to believe that watching children's movies is somehow shameful. They feel as if they have to pretend they hate children's movies to prove their manliness, not only to others but also to themselves. While struggling to find a reason why ET wasn't good, my brother cited Spielberg's portrayal of adults and scientists as evil. He said it was "simplistic." But this is a legitimate theme. Many believe that children start off innocent and as they grow older society corrupts them. Others believe children start off silly and as they grow older they mature and become better people. This concept has been pondered over for centuries by ethicists and lawyers. Why do you think children under 10 cannot be charged for murder? The legal system claims they are not capable of forming a guilty mind. This concept is far from "simplistic." And anyway, to all young boys scientists and adults are scary, and this movie was told from the perspective of the little boys. So of course the adults are portrayed as evil! There is virtually no flaw with this movie apart from the slight overacting by Elliot, but all in all he is one of the best child actors I've seen on screen, much better than the kid off Last Action Hero. ET has good plot, good characterization, good soundtrack, and good visual effects. It's a movie you cannot hate unless you try hard to hate it. I remember when my brother watched this movie. His eyes did water during the last scene. He tried so hard to hold it in but couldn't. He later said he hated the movie. Perhaps he was angry with the movie for exposing him as a hypocrite. Unfortunately for most people watching movies is about carving out an identity. People try to define their character by the sorts of movies they watch. So if you like to think of yourself as some tough guy, you'd force yourself to watch violent action movies and then go around telling everyone how much you loved these movies so others can acknowledge your identity. These are the sorts of people who scream out "chick flick" at any romance movie to conform to the stereotype that men can't tolerate romance. It's sad that the objectivity of movie reviewing is now corrupted by vanity. Spielberg was right. As humans grow older, they become rotten creatures. 10/10 Kettheya Uong

E.t. the extra terrestrial - E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial Reviews

He is lost, he is alone, and he is 3 million lightyears away from home. An exta terrestrial is left behind, and he is befriended by a boy named Elliot, and his older brother Micheal, and his sister Girte. They call him E.T. They help E.T. try and go back home, and protect him from government scientist. E.T. is an instant classic film, and still is a strong film scince 1982. This is one of Spielburge's best work. This movie had outstanding performances by Henry Thomas, as Elliot. The most classic and the most famous part that the audience enjoyed when the film first came out the theaters was the flying bikes, where Elliot, Micheal, Tyler, Steve, and Greg were all flying high on their bikes, and the most tear jerking part was when E.T. left where his last words to Elliot was "I'll be right here." This movie had many favorite quotes like "Ouch", and like "E.T. phone home." E.T. is a spectacular film, and very entertaining. Steven Spielburge's directing was outstanding, and amazing, in a film where it isn't his type of movie. Overall E.T. is an outstnding, touching, enjoying, and tear jerking film where all will enjoy. Out of 5, it's a 5.
